As many of you will know or have noticed, time has not been kept by the clock on the front of the Village Hall overlooking Victoria Square for many months now.
For some time, the hall committee have been looking into the feasibility of repairing or renewing the current clock mechanism and face. From our research, investigation and consideration of cost incurred for all options, the decision has been reached to renew both. So, it is time to keep Evercreech ticking with a new clock for the heart of our village. Depending upon funding we would like to make it easier to read with a larger illuminated face.
To do this we are aiming to raise in the region of £2,500 with a view to have the new clock installed for the autumn of 2026. We will be holding various events (keep an eye out for further details in the coming months) and have launched a JustGiving page we hope the local community who glance up at the clock from time to time will feel they are able to support with a donation no matter how great or small.
If you would like to contribute towards this village asset used by many on a daily basis, please scan the below QR code or click on the Donate Here button which will take you to our JustGiving campaign page. You can also donate by contacting the Village Hall Treasurer, Richard Kewish on treasurer@evercreechvillagehall.org.uk
